Edinburgh Art Fair

This November sees the return of the Edinburgh Art Fair to the Corn Exchange for its 7th successive year.

Over the last six years we have witnessed the fair grow in stature to become one of the most anticipated art fairs in the country with an audience whose enthusiasm, knowledge and commitment to art is without question and who help maintain the reputation Edinburgh has for cultural excellence.

In 2010 we again achieved our own targets with over 1,000 stunning artworks sold with a combined value in excess of £1m to many of the 12,000+ visitors to the fair. These figures cement the Edinburgh Art Fair in the premier league of UK art fairs and will help ensure its future for many years to come.

With the 2011 fair we will be striving to ensure the high quality that the fair is now known for is maintained and are delighted to announce that we are now open for applications from galleries who wish to be considered for the selection process.

The Edinburgh Art Fair takes place at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange and is open to the public from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th November with a ticket only private view and drinks reception taking place on Thursday 17th November.

Venue & Location

The Edinburgh Corn Exchange is situated approximately 3.6 kilometers (2 miles) to the south west of Edinburgh city centre, within the moat area of the capital. This is an area of mixed use embracing both retail, agriculture and residential accommodation.

The Corn Exchange sits to the south of Gorgie Road (A71) and north of Slateford Road (A70) two of the main arterial routes into the city.

More precisely the site is situated to the west of Chesser Avenue benefiting from roadside frontage on three sides: New Mart Road (north), New Market Road (east) and Cattle Road (west). Access to the site may be taken from either New Mart or New Market Road.

Edinburgh has excellent public transport and the Corn Exchange benefits greatly from several bus and train routes. Lothian Region Transport runs a number 35 which stops outside the Corn Exchange and Slateford Train Station (on the Glasgow central line)is a two minute walk from the venue.
